FAQs:

What is VBS and why should my child attend?

VBS stands for Vacation Bible School and is an incredibly fun 5 days of music, games, crafts, and snacks which are specially designed to bring children closer to God and help them develop their own personal relationships with Him.

What if my child is unable to attend all 5 days of VBS?

That’s okay! We love VBS and know your child will, too, but we understand that kids these days are busy and may have to miss a night or two. Two or three nights of learning about God and his amazing love is better than none!

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please contact M’Lissa Foreman at mlissa@stmarkwdm.org OR (515) 223-4208 with any questions you may have.

Kid’s Club Sundays – Sunday from 10:00 to 11:00am

Kid’s Club Sunday is St. Mark’s Sunday school program for children age 3 – 6th grade.  Our volunteer leaders are dedicated to teaching the Bible and have great experience working with children.

Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes meet in the Worship Center west wing, and 1st-6th grade students meet in the Discipleship Center.

WoW (Worship on Wednesdays) Activities – Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:30pm

WoW is a great way for children age 3 – 4th grade to dig deep into Biblical stories through art, games and a special children’s worship center.  Children worship together with songs, read Bible stories in small groups, and move through a rotation model of activities lead by volunteer leaders.

Club56 also meets during WoW and serves as a bridge from elementary to middle school for the 5th and 6th graders at St. Mark. Using the “re:form” curriculum by Sparkhouse, kids discuss real life issues and begin understanding a real faith application.

All WoW children’s activities take place in the Discipleship Center.

WoW Meals Available on Wednesdays from 5:15 to 6:00pm
